Can Pole Covers be installed on other poles besides sign poles?2021-12-04T17:28:35+00:00

Absolutely! Pole Covers can be designed and manufactured for almost any style of pole, including shopping cart corrals, billboards, playgrounds, mailboxes, fences, handrails, light poles, signal poles, flagpoles, etc. We can customize most Pole Covers to your specific application and standards.

Do you offer installation?2022-06-05T22:45:09+00:00

We do not offer installation at this time. However, most customers find installation quick and easy. We are aware of creative ways to identify labor for installation including utilizing inmates, scout troops, high schoolers, court-appointed labor, or volunteers. Installing Pole Covers is also a great opportunity to straighten poles, replace old poles, and replace faded signs.

Remember, installation takes 60 seconds or less!

How long do Pole Covers last?2021-12-04T17:28:57+00:00

Pole Covers are manufactured with special polymer additives to protect against fading and cracking from harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.  These additives extend the lifespan of Pole Covers beyond ten years.

What happens if water gets inside the Pole Covers?2021-12-04T17:29:06+00:00

Since Pole Covers are not affixed to the ground, water harmlessly runs out the bottom during a storm. This also helps prevent any sort of algae growth since there is fresh air blowing through the Pole Covers.

Can the individual “middle” sections be shortened and/or an additional middle section be added to a single support? We have some awkward sign heights: not everything is an even multiple of one foot.2023-11-08T20:28:10+00:00

There are multiple spacers for each standard order for awkward sign heights. The shortest you can make the covers would be 26″ (23″ base + 3″ top). Beyond this you can make them almost any height imaginable up to a total of 90″ (7′ 6″).

Our sign heights are at the standard 7′ MUTCD height. Will a standard order reach 7′?2023-11-08T20:19:14+00:00

Yes, a standard order reaches 7.5′. To reach 7′ you would install two 23″ bases, four 23″ middles, two 12″ spacers, and two 3″ tops for exactly 7′.

What if someone stands on the base, or it gets hit by a lawnmower or weedeater?2022-09-25T19:36:00+00:00

We anticipated this might happen, so the base is reinforced with .2″ thick plastic vs. .125 for the rest of the cover. There are extra vertical ribs built into the base to withstand the weight of being stepped on. These ribs also keep the base from sagging under the pressure of the middle and top pieces.

Will the base fit over large mounting brackets?2022-10-03T09:02:16+00:00

Pole Covers went through multiple design iterations to accommodate the most standard mounting brackets. The base is 18″ diameter to account for a large 12″x12″ mounting plate. It also accounts for a 9″ triangular mounting plate.

Are there any state or federal requirements to be aware of when installing Pole Covers?2022-06-05T23:05:44+00:00
